MR. ROBERT D. "Rob" MERCER 
Mr. Robert D. "Rob" Mercer, age 85, of Irvington, died suddenly on Saturday, 
October 27, 2001 while visiting at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital.  He was born 
August 12, 1916 in Nebraska to the late Charlie and Eva Springate Mercer.  Mr. 
Mercer was a retired farmer, a member of the Rosetta United Methodist Church, a 
volunteer at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital and known as a friend to everyone. 
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Aileen Blissett Mercer; and a brother, 
Chester Mercer of Charlestown, Ill. 
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 30 at the Alexander Funeral Home 
in Irvington with the Rev. Janet Carden officiating.  Burial was in the Bethel 
Cemetery near Bewleyville.
