She was preceded in death by her daughter - Abigail Mercer and her father - Henry Jackson Payne, II
 
Sherry is survived by her mother - Ada Payne of Hardinsburg, KY
4 children: Robert and Daniel Payne of Texas Justin Mercer and Chelsea Mercer of Cloverport, KY
1 sister - Carey Adams of Cloverport, KY
2 brothers - Henry Jackson Payne, III of Texas and matt Jason Payne of Ohio
3 grandchildren - Drake, Desmond and Cedrick
 
Private services were held under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with burial in the New Highland Cemetery.
