Ida Florence Oakes was the daughter of James Thomas Oaks, born in Wayne County, 
Kentucky, and Elizabeth Vanhook, born in Pulaski or Rockcastle County, 
Kentucky.  According to family records, she married James Meredith.  The "Edd 
Oakes" identified in the death certificate as the informant is likely Ida's 
brother Edward Richard Oakes.  Ida Florence Oakes Meredith is buried at Piney 
Grove Cemetery, Brodhead, Rockcastle County, Kentucky.
