Know all men by these presents that we Granvill N. Love and James Mershon are held & firmly bound unto 
the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the penal sum of 50 pounds current money the payment of which well and 
truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs to jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed 
and dated this 29th day of June 1824.
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a licence about to issue from the 
clerks office of the Garrard County Court for a marriage intended between the above bound Granvill N. 
Love and Clementina Mershon.  Now should there be no lawful cause to obstruct said marriage then the 
above obligation to be void else to remain in full force & virtue.
