Miller September 10 2003 Bell County KyArchives Obituaries The Oak Ridger Glendon T. Miller, 86, of Clinton, died Sunday, Sept. 7, 2003, at Shannondale Health Care Center in Knoxville. Born March 10, 1917, in Four Mile, Ky., he was the son of Leonard and Rachel Edna Patterson Miller, both now deceased. Mr. Miller was a member of Edgemoor Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 376 in Clinton and Eastern Star. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Union Carbide in 1979 at the Oak Ridge Y- 12 Plant. According to his family, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he worked with the local food pantry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Norman Miller; four brothers, Van Miller, Herbert Miller, Clarence Miller and Earl Miller; and by a sister, Bessie Good. Mr. Miller is survived by two sons, Glen Miller and wife, Jaci, of Nashville, and Terry Miller and wife, Debbie, of Kingsport; two daughters, Sharon Miller of Claxton and Linda Parker of Knoxville; two brothers, Pete Miller and Buck Miller; five sisters, Ruby Bohannan, Deliha Bryant, June Cruse, Margaret Wilson and Virginia Sweet; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Michael Petty officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
