He was a native of Bell County, KY, retired from South Central Bell, with over 30 years of service, 3rd Degree Master Mason- Olekia Temple-Lexington, Master Mason-KY Lodge #490, Williamsburg, KY, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Crestwood Baptist Church. Asher was preceded in death by a son, Asher L. Hoskins. He is survived by his wife, the former Sarah Johnson; daughters, Carolyn Ann Robinson, Cooksville,Donna Sue Robins, Louisville; step-son, Larry Farrell, Buckner; step-daughter, Gwen Wilson, Pewee Valley; brother, Ellis Hoskins, Jellico; sisters, Doris Douglas, Middlestown, Bobby Jean Green, Bowling Green, Ada Potter, Middlesboro and Sue Elam, Reynoldsburg, OH.; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral was Tuesday, September 23 at Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood with Rev. Chris Platt, Associate Pastor, Crestwood Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Floydsburg Cemetery. Visitation was Monday and Tuesday prior to funeral time at the funeral home. Pallbearers were Justin Roberts, Aaron Hoskins, Beau Hoskins, Steve Farrell, Tony Brooks, and Scott Wilson.
