Submitted by Martha Lamkin Found in an old scrapbook purchased at a yard sale ~ GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, Henry and Hannah MILLER, Richardsville, KY, 1 Oct 1907 On October 1, 1907, was celebrated the 50th anniversary of Uncle Henry and Aunt Hannah MILLER’s wedding, at their old home in the Richardsville vicinity, also the 66th birthday of Aunt Hannah. They have had the pleasure of raising six children, who were present with the exception of one, that has gone on into a brighter world to await and welcome a good, pure and noble parent. Uncle Henry and Aunt Hannah have so lived that this whole country was delighted to meet and speak words of comfort to them. They had spread a bountiful dinner, consisting of everything to tempt the appetite which was enjoyed by all. A great many showed their kindness by bringing baskets of nice things to spread on the long table that was already groaning under its load. They were happy and overjoyed to welcome the multitude, and everyone present felt as the Aunt remarked to them, "Welcome as the flowers in spring time," and that it meant no flattery. A great many nice presents were presented to the happy couple, such as cut glass, china-ware, table-linens, towels, dress patterns, and jewelry. They were given by the following: Mr. And Mrs. Sam, Jim, Frank, W. T. MILLER; Miss Eliza MILLER, Mr. And Mrs. Philander MILLER; Mesdames Ernest MOTER, E. O. PENNER, Mollie FRANCIS, Lon REEVES, Raleigh MILLER; Kate MILLER, Gusta AUTRY, Lucy MILLER, T. E. YOUNG, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. MILLER, Mr. and Mrs. J. A.
