From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 20 April 2003 STANFORD -- James B. Miller Sr., 68, of Stanford, died Saturday at his home. Born Feb. 14, 1935, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Albert and Nannie Morrow Miller. He was a carpenter and member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served in the National Guard. Survivors include his wife, Freda Hale Miller; a son, James B. Miller Jr. of Stanford; a daughter, Donna K. Moore of Easton, Md.; two sisters, Donnie Shelton of Crab Orchard and Francis Drake of Florence; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnny Adamson. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James B. Miller III, Bill Priddy, Dallas Fletcher, Jerry Shelton, Jason Moore and Emmitt Patton. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Monday at the church.
