She had been in ill health for several years and had suffered several slight strokes. Julia was a daughter of "Aunt" Celia Smith and was much respected by both whites and colored citazens. She was the widow of the late Bob Miller, who was killed here several years ago. Her first husband was Henry Reed, who the colored people nick-named "Jam Roll". She is survived by two sons, James (Babe) Reed and Moses Lee Miller, besides several brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held at the colored church Wednesday afternoon, followed by burial in the colored cemetery.
