Leonard Miller, Sr., 71, of Arjay, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Four Mile, KY on July 21, 1931 a son of the late Rebecca Gambrel Miller Rice and Dee Miller. He was a member of the Arjay Missionary Baptist Church and had been a coal miner for Gatliff Coal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Carnes. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Nadine Davis Miller; children, Leonard, Jr. and Kathy Miller of Pineville, Carolyn and Richard Hall of Middlesboro, Evelyn Gentry of Pineville, Janie and James Billingsley of Pineville, Cindy and Jim Matt Holland of Pineville and Joyce and Lonnie Bullins of Indianapolis, IN., grandchildren, Amy and Randall Jones, Tiffany and Melvin Lewis, Marsha and Shannon Holland, Brooke Billingsley, Lonnie, Jr. and Sherry Bullins, Wayne Gentry, Richard, Jr. and Lacy Hall and Tyler Hoskins; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Jasper Rice, Jr., sister, Rachel Laws and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services were Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. A.Y. Mills and Rev. James Polly. Burial was in the Mills-Miller Family Cemetery at Clear Creek. Pallbearers were Lonnie Bullins, Jr., Wayne Gentry, Shannon Holland, Tyler Hoskins, Richard Hall, Jr., Randall Jones and Melvin Lewis. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Miller Family.
