OBIT: Henry G. Minor, 1952, Boyle & Taylor Co. Submitted by Debbie Dicken Funeral services for Henry G. Minor, 52 years of age, were held Saturday, July 25 at 2 p.m. from the Liberty Baptist Church. The Rev. Willard Collins and Rev. Read Thompson were in charge of the service. Burial was in the Jerrico Cemetery. The pallbearers were Tom Penn Phillips, Ed Burkhead, Rubbin Burkhead, Goebel Spurling, Tom Edelen and Jess Mings. Mr. Minor, son of the late George W. and Mary Gunter Minor, was born May 13, 1901 in Taylor County, Ky. He died Thursday, July 23, at the Ephriam-McDowell Hospital in Danville, following a short illness. He united in marriage to Miss Ethel Lovice Wright on December 17, 1922 and she preceded him in death on December 10, 1942. To this union three sons and three daughters were born. Surviving are: Mrs. Henry Mann, and Henley B. Minor of Portsmouth, Ohio and Nell D. Minor of Louisville. On September 18, 1945 he united in marriage to Mrs. Mary Cox Phillips, who survives. To this union two sons and one daughter were born, William and Ellen Minor, all at home. He is also survived by two stepdaughters, Ida and Paula Phillips, both at home. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Tom Newton, Mrs. Bob Campbell, John Minor and Sanford Minor, all of Taylor County, and Mrs. John J.
