H. MOOK PASSES AWAY -- News has been received here of the death of Mrs. Harietta MOOK, formerly of this city (Cloverport), died at Cleveland, Bolivar County, Mississippi on December 7, 1903. Death was due to pneumonia, after an illness of only six days. The funeral was held last Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., and she was interred at the Cleveland Cemetery. Mrs. MOOK is survived by three children: Charles MOOK of Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky. Frederick MOOK of St. Louis, Missouri Mrs. J. M. WELLS of Cleveland, Mississippi Fred and Jake MAY, Fred WALTERS, and Mrs. Charles MAY of this city, are cousins of her late husband, Jacob MOOK, who died in 1872, and is buried in the Murray graveyard in the eastern end of town. Mrs. Mook came to this city from Cannelton, Perry County, Indiana about 1862. Mr. MOOK was a wagon maker, and when he died, she conducted a millinery store. In the 1880"s, she sold her property here, valued at several thousand dollars, and removed with her children to Louisville (Jefferson County), Ky. Afterwards. she went to Newport, Campbell County, Ky, and then she went to Cleveland, Mississippi, about three years before her death. In 1900, she made a visit to this city. Mrs. MOOK was about 65 years of age. She and her husband were members of the Presbyterian Church here.
