She was born in Pineville on May 6, 1907 to Dr. James H. and Vinnie Kate Lunce Hendren. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Pineville and had been a Housekeeping Supervisor at the Pineville Community Hospital for 20 years. She had been a caterer and had been a Park manager for Pine Mountain State Park in the early 1950. Mrs. Moore was active in the community belonging to the BPW of Pineville, Senior Citizens, International Homemakers Club and Straight Creek Homemaker Club. She had been named the Pineville Rotary Clubs' Woman of the Year in 1966 and she was Country Woman of the Year for International Homemakers Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Freemont Moore and a daughter, Betty Ruth Lacy. Survivors include her children, Carolyn and Charles Goodin of Pineville and James H. and Lois Moore of Bull Head City, AZ; grandchildren, Charles Mark Lacy of Korea, James and Lei Bird, III of Bonita Spring, FL, Rena and Jack Collins of Naples, FL, Carolyn and Tony Belenchi of Newport, CT, James H. Moore of Las Vegas, NV, Betty Kay Moore of Biloxi, MS, Mike Goodin of Four Mile, Susie and Matt Bargo of Corbin, Katie and Philip Parker of Marion, KY and Charles "Bo" Goodin of Middlesboro; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Services were Thursday at the First Christian Church with Dr. Dan Crum. Burial was in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery, Pallbearers were Mike Goodin, David Goodin, Charles "Bo" Goodin, Charles Mark Lacy, James Harry Moore, Matt Bargo, Matthew Bargo, III, Phillip Parker, Mike White and Jim Bird, III. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Goodin, Claude Pennington and Joan Asher Cawood. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Moore Family.
