Know all men by these presents that I Jesse McGinnis of Mercer County Ky for and in consideration of one dollar to me in hand paid by Thomas Moorman of said county and for the further consideration of the love and affection which I have and bear towards my daughter Nancy Moorman the wife of James Moorman have bargained and sold and by these presents hereby bargain Sell & convey unto the said Thomas Moorman in trust for the uses hereinafter mentioned the following personal property to wit:  one black mare about nine or ten years old and one bay mare one year old last Spring two beds and bedding one bureau and cupboard furniture to have and to hold the same to him the said Thomas Moorman in trust for the sole and separate use of the said Nancy Moorman without any power or control of her said husband James Moorman or for any debts which he may owe or may hereafter contract and the said Thomas Moorman is to permit the said Nancy to have the use and enjoyment of said property and the increase of said mares and said trustee is authorized to sell or exchange said property for any other property and the same to be held for the same uses and purposes above mentioned.  Witness my hand and seal this 28 of December 1839.

Mercer County Sct.  I Thomas Allen Clerk of the Court for the county afsd. do certify that the within deed of Trust was this day produced to me in my Office and acknowledged by Jesse McGinnis a party thereto to be his act and deed whereupon I do certify the same to the Clerk of the Warren County Court for record where the party of the second part resides.  Given under my hand this 6th day of January 1840.

Warren County Sct.  I Jonathan Hobson Clerk of the County Court of said county do certify that this deed from Jesse McGinnis to James H. Moorman Trustee of Nancy Moorman was this day exhibited to me in my Office for record and that I have recorded said deed with the foregoing certificate and this certificate as required by law.  Given under my hand this 27 day of January 1840.
