He had been in ill health for some time and underwent treatment at Samson Community Hospital. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. "He was born June 9, 1903, in Glasgow, where he has spent most of his life. He attended the Glasgow schools and later the Kentucky Military Institute at Lyndon, Ky., and the Castle Heights Military Academy at Lebanon, Tennessee. "After completing his education, Mr. Morris was connected with his father, the late Mr. Gus Morris, in the general merchandise firm of Depp & Morris. Following the death of his father in 1926, Mr. Morris became engaged in various occupations. "Mr. Morris was first married to Miss Caroline Schuster, daughter of Col. and Mrs. Morgan Schuster, in 1923. Two daughters were born to this untion, Misses Ann Redding Morris, 18, and Caroline Wayne Morris, 16, both of whom reside in Azusa Calif. Mr. Morris' second wife was Miss Lillian Harris, of Thomasville, Ga. "Besides the two daughters and his mother, he is survived by one sister, Miss Helen Morris. Mr. Morris was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. "Funeral services were held at the Morris home on Brown Street Monday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, the Rev. Sam Ed Bradley in charge. Burial was in the Glasgow cemetery. "The pallbearers were: Messrs Jack Pedigo, Clyde Breeding, W E Payne, Hardin Powell, Woods Richardson.
