Will Bk D, Pp 505, 506 Written: March 10, 1823 Recorded: April 21, 1823 Transcription: Nicholas MUDD Will Nicholas MUDD Will MUDD< NEWBOLT; BUNCH; CHESHIRE; OSBORN; GRAYSON, BURRIS In the name of God amen, I Nicholas MUDD of Nelson County and State of Kentucky being weak in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to almighty God for the same Do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say, First pay all my debts, then I give and bequeath unto my son James MUDD twenty five cents, I also give and bequeath to my Daughter Mattilda MUD twenty five cents, I also give and bequeath to my son Austin MUD twenty five cents, the balance of the property and land to be equally divided between Matthew MUD and Vollentine MUD, Joseph MUD, Elizabeth MUD and Steven B. MUD, But Julyan MUD and Susan MUD that is now at the monastery should quit that place before they are twenty one years shall come in for an equal share with the other children. But if they remain at the monistary more than twenty one years, I give and bequeath to Julyann MUD twenty five cents, and I also give and bequeath unto Susan MUD twenty five cents, and I also wish my son Matthew MUD to take care of Joseph MUD, Elizabeth MUD and Stephen B. MUD and that he should be satisfied for his troble out of their part of the estate as witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of March 1823.
