W. Muir, he was a student at St. Joseph's College where he was preparing himself to enter Yale. He was a youth of the highest promise, high minded and of excellent training and character. Between George Muir and parents was a feeling of comradeship; they entered into the amusements and joys of each other as tho they were all of one age. Regularly on Sunday morning George Muir attended the Catholic church, then with his father he attended the Presbyterian church. He was highly respected by our older citizens , and extremely popular with the boys and girls of this city. His home was headquarters for the young people, who were given a free hand to share those things which his parents so lavishly provided him with. He was a member and patriotic leader of the local troop of Boy Scouts.
