Napier, a resident of Pineville, KY who passed away Sunday, February 6, 2005 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY/ He was born April 24, 1949 in Bell Co Kentucky the son of the late Colson Napier Sr. and Bertha Brock Napier who survives. He was a member of the Old St. Creek Trinity Tabernacle, instructor for Masonary and Carpentry at the Bell Bo Vocational school and was a Kentucky Colonel. At the time of his death he was 55 years old. He is survived by the following members of his family: his mother Bertha Napier of Pineville, Kentucky, his wife, Shelby Jean Napier of Pineville, KY, son and daughter in law, Derrick Jerome and Angie Leger of LaFollette, TN, 3 daughters and their husbands; Deanna and Russ Dillingham of Bear, Delaware, April Napier of Pineville,, KY and Kimberely and Casey Watkins of Helen, Alabama, 2 brothers and their wives; Millard and Debbie Napier of Pineville, KY and Colson Jr. and Sherry Napier of Clear Creek, KY, 5 sisters and brothers in law; Verlene and Russell Barthlomew of Indianapolis, IN, Darlene and Bobby Long of Rosehill, VA, Betty Jean and Jimmy Hobbs of Pineville, KY, Peggy Sue and Don Gibson of Big Stone Gap, VA and Brenda Kay and Billy Ferguson of Pineville, KY; 3 grandchildren; Ethan Wesly Napier of Pineville, KY and Megan Larae Leger and Sara Larae Leger both of LaFollette, TN and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted February 9, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the Old St. Creek Trinity Tabernacle with Revs. Danny Daniels, Mark Mahurin, Herman Denny and Don Messer officiating. Music was provided by Mickey Wilder, Mark Mahurin, Michele Napier and the Napier Sisters. Interment followed in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens east of Pineville, KY. Visitation was held from 6-9 pm Tuesday at the Creech-Durham Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Brian, Chucky, Corey, Kevin and Nick Napier, Russ Bartholmew and Cody Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers were Bell Co Area Vocational School Staff and the AM and PM classes of the Masonary and Carpentry Classes, special friends, Ernie Campbell, Ken Howard, Herman Denny and Danny Johnson.
