Mrs. Nevitt, 32 a daughter of Mr and Mrs Omer Price of Athertonville, was found dead at her home 1503 Bluegrass Street in Louisville about 4:40 AM Thursday of numerous stab wounds. Her body was discovered by Louisville Police who went to the Nevitt home after finding a wallet with identification papers of Clifford Nevitt in a car on the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge at 4:17 Am Thursday. A check of the car registration led police to the Nevill home were the body of Mrs. Nevitt was found in a pool of blood in the bathroom. Chief Deputy Don Shader estimated Mrs. Nevitt had been dead several hours when the body was discovered. Police reportedly suspect that Nevitt jumped to his death in the Ohio River. They said they discovered what looked like a hand print and a scuff mark that might have been left by a shoe on the 3ft Bridge railing alongside Nevitt's car. Dragging operations were hampered by weather conditons.At press time yesterday the body had not been found. The Nevitt's had not children.She had been a bookkeeper at National Distilleries Products Company in Louisville for a number of years. Nevitt had been a chemical operator for the B.F. Goodrich Company in Louisville since 1955. Mrs. Nevitt was a graduate of Hodgenville High School and attended Campbellsville College, Campbellsville KY. Besides her parents, she is survived by a sister Mrs. Marie Locke, of near Hodgenville. The body was brought by Maims and Miller Funeral Home here Thursday night.
