O’Bryan to William Pottinger This Indenture made this 25th day of February in the year of our lord eighteen hundred and four Between Lewis Obryan and Mary his wife of the County of Washington and State of Kentucky of the one part and William Pottinger of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Lewis Obryan and Mary his wife for and in condiseration of the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds Current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid by the said William Pottinger the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge have Granted bargained and Sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien and convey unto him the said William Pottinger his heirs or assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land Containing one hundred and ten acres Situate lying and being in the aforesaid County of Washington on the waters of Pottingers Creek and bounded as follow Viz Beginning at two white oaks and sugartree on the bank of the South fork of Pottingers Creek thence North seventy eight degrees West two hundred and eighteen poles with Charles Greennels line to a white oak Elm & cherry tree thence south three degrees East one hundred & thirty two poles to two Sugartrees & Ironwood on the bank of said fork thence up the same with its meanders to the beginning together with all Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the said land and premises unto him the said William Pottinger his heirs and assigns forever and the said Lewis OBryan and Mary his wife do covenant for themselves 7 their heirs that they will forever warrant and defend the said land and premises unto him the said William Pottinger his heirs and assigns forever from and against the claim of them the said Lewis OBryan and Mary his wife and their heirs and all persons claiming by through or under them.
