DeWITT was in the Civil War, Union. The parents of Michael Curtis Thomas OSBORNE is John Allen OSBORN/OSBORNE born 24 May 1837 at Thompkinsville, Monroe County, Kentucky who married in Hardin County, Ky on 16 December 1856 to Louisa Catherine LeGRAND born 14 Feb 1842 in Hardin County, Ky. I have no idea who Louisa's parents are, even after 38 years of research. John and Louisa moved from Breckinridge County, Ky to Alton, Madison County, Illinois around 1910.
