Marriage Bond at Garrard County Kentucky Courthouse Box ?, Bond 140 Know all men by these that we Moses Preston & Frederick Ott are held and firmly 
bound unto James Garrard Esquire Governor of Kentucky in the sum of fifty 
pounds current money the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind 
ourselves our heirs ? jointly and severally firmly by these presents sealed and 
dated this 16th day of April 1800.
     The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a 
marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Moses 
Preston & Sally Ott for which a licence has issued now if there be no lawfull 
cause to obstruct sd marriage then the above obligation to be else to remain in 
full force and virtue.
