DON OWENS
 
    Don Owens, 66 of Pineville, died on Monday, December 30, 2002 at his 
home.  He was born in Kay Jay, KY on May 2, 1936 a son of Essie Rhodes Owens 
and the late George M. Owens.  He was a member of the Yellow Creek Baptist 
Church and had been owner of Owens Electrc Company.  He had served in the 
Unied States Army.
    In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, 
Jasper and Tella Rhodes and Ed and Hattie Owens; uncles Albert and Eddie 
Owens, Leonard, Kenneth and Wade Rhodes.
    Survivors include his mother, Essie Owens of Pineville, children, Donna 
Owens (Herman) Lambdin of Pineville and Mark W. (Becky) Owens of Harrogate; 
the children's mothers, Kit Hendrickson of Pineville and Billie Owens of 
Harrogate, grandchildren, Marka Owens, Jan-Michael Lambdin and Will Lambdin; 
step-grandchildren, Jason Lambdin and Stephanie McCune; step-great- grandchildren, Taylor and Devin Moyers; aunts, Nannie Vanover of Benton, KY 
and Angelena Sears of Corbin.
    Services were held Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. 
Terry Cox and Rev. Gary Burchett.  Burial was in the Pineville Memorial 
Cemetery, Pineville.  Pallbearers were Eddie Saylor, Freddie Mayes, Bill 
McGaffee, Herman Lambdin, Biff Madon and Mike Carroll.  Honorary pallbearers 
were Michael Mills, Chuck Sharp. Dr. Steven Morgan, Robert Madon. Andy 
Williams, South Bevins, David Ray, Sherman Sears, Clyde Goins, Billy Ray 
Carroll, Bradley Miracle, Leonard Rhodes, Jr., Ronnie  Vanover and Phil Greer.
    Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Owens 
Family.
