Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 30 Sept 1896
"Mr. J. S. Parker, who came to Glasgow about a year ago from near Oakland 
station and engaged in the photograph business at the Dubbs stand, died at the 
home of his parents, near Oakland, Friday of last week. Mr. Parker was a 
strictly moral young man, of fine personal qualities and attractiveness, and 
had made many friends during his short stay here. His death is a sadending to 
a promising young life."
