Judith Ellen ("Nellie") Basham was born on 1 December 1879 in Breckinridge 
County, Kentucky (or possibly Hawesville, Hancock County, Kentucky), to Obediah 
Peyton Basham and Maria Frances Watlington, both born in Breckinridge County, 
Kentucky.  Nellie Basham married (1) Frederick Dieckman, on 5 December 1906, in 
Breckinridge County, Kentucky.  Nellie and Frederick had two children, 
Frederick Carl Dieckman and Clara Louise Dieckman.  Frederick died on 24 
December 1910.  Nellie Basham married (2) Alfred Clarence ("Clarence") Payne, 
between April 1913 and 1915. Nellie and Clarence had two children, Forrest 
Henry Payne and Wilma Agnes Payne.  Clarence also had 5 children by his 
previous wife, Laura French, who died on 23 March 1913.  Judith Ellen 
("Nellie") Basham Dieckman Payne is buried in the Walnut Grove Baptist Church 
Cemetery in Lodiburg, Breckinridge County, Kentucky.
