Deed Bk C, p 36-38 CRAWFORD; PEAK; YOUNGER: MILLER: HENRY; COLLARD; HELM This Indenture made this fourteenth day of February in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and five. Between William CRAWFORD and Nancy his wife of the one part and Patrick PEAK of the other part all of the County of Hardin and State of Kentucky Witnesseth that the said William CRAWFORD and Nancy his wife for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds current money to them in hand paid by the said Patrick PEAK the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted bargained and sold and by the presents do grant bargain sell alien and confirm unto the said Patrick PEAK his Heirs &c forever a certain tract or parcel of Land containing two hundred acres; Situate lying and being in Hardin County aforesaid on the waters of Clear Creek one YOUNGERS Creek, waters of the Rolling Fork, it being the same where the said William now lives, which was conveyed by Samuel MILLER and Catherine his wife to the said William by deed bearing date the 4th of December 1800 and bounded as followeth to wit Begining at a poplar running thence North thirty six degrees East thirty two poles to HENRYS survey of 300 acres thence with his line East twenty poles thence North thirty nine degrees East sixty poles thence North eighty poles thence North thirty nine East forty poles to the Begining of the original survey of which this is a part, thence north thirty nine degrees East eighty poles to a black oak & poplar in COLLARDS line thence with said line north forty degrees West one hundred and sixty four poles to a pine oak and black gum corner to said COLLARDS survey thence south ten degrees two hundred poles to two large black oaks thence South two hundred poles to the Begining – To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with all and singulars of its appurtenances thereunto belonging to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Patrick PEAK and his heirs forever, and the said William CRAWFORD and Nancy his wife for themselves and their heirs do further covenant and agree to and with the said Patrick PEAK his heirs &c that they will warrant and defend the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with all and singular the appurtenances hereditaments and advantages unto belonging or in any wise thereunto appertaining from themselves and their Heirs and from every other person or persons claim or claims whatsoever lawfully claiming the same. In Witness whereof the said William CRAWFORD and Nancy his wife hath hereunto subscribed their names and affixed their seals the day and year first within written.
