Mrs Bessie Peavey,R-3, Liberty, is in reciept of the following letter from Major General Innis P. Swift, Commanding General First Calvary Division, U.S. 
Army:" Recently it was my privilige to award your son, PFC. Estill L. Peavey, Troop G, 7th Calvary, the Order of the Purple Heart for wounds sustained in action against the enemy and for his performance in our conquest of the Admiralty Islands.  While congratulating myself for having him serve in my command, permit me to congratulate you on having such a spendid soldier for a son."
