To: Ky-Footsteps Subject: Pedigo.J.R.1896.Barren.OBIT J.R. Pedigo November 1896 Barren County KyArchives Obituaries Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 11 Nov 1896. "Mr. J. R. Pedigo Dead. Mr. J. R. Pedigo died at his home near town Monday evening last. Mr. Pedigo had been in ill health for some time, and his death was not in the nature of a surprise either to his family or his friends. Few men in Barren were better known that Mr. Riley Pedigo. For almost the whole of a long and busy existence he lived among the people of this county, and was respected and esteemed by all. He lived a clean, honorable, upright christian life, and died sincerely mourned and regretted. For many years he had been a consistent and devout member of the Christian church. At one time he was one of the foremost business men of Glasgow, but age and increasing infirmities some time sicne forced his retirement from all active business. Since then he has lived quietly on his farm beyond South Fork. "The remains were interred in the Odd Fellow's Cemetery yesterday afternoon, after appropriate funeral services in the First Christian Church, here."
