Beverly Perry's signed Declaration of Recruit, where he joined to fight in the 
Civil War.

Additional Comments:
Even though Beverly lived in Bath County all his life, a Michigan troop must 
have been passing through Bath County when he wished to enlist. It seems 
reasonable that, even though the papers say they were signed in Detroit, 
Michigan, that they wouldn't have wasted time taking the new recruit there to 
sign him up.
