Phillips March 8 1859 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: March 8 1859 Recorded: March 11 1859 Book 7, page 169 This Indenture witnesseth, that James M. Phillips and Lucinda T. Phillips his wife, for and in consideration of nine hundred and Sixty dollars, four hundred and twenty-four dollars 67cts paid in horses and money, and the balance secured by notes - one due Nov. 15, 1858, for $100 - the other for $433.33 due Oct 20th 1860, and for these sums a lien is hereby reserved upon the land herein conveyed - said notes are given by F. L. McGinnis, the said Phillips and wife have this day bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bargain and convey to the said Finley L. McGinnis, the following described lot of land in Boyle County, Ky. on the waters of Quirks Run, and being so much of the tract of land formerly owned by William McGinnis as was allotted to said Phillips and wife - Beginning at a stone corner to G. M. Proctor, in Thos. Coulter's line, thence N89.50E 138 poles to a stone corner to Wm. Owens at B in said division, thence N1/2E 18-56/100 poles to a stone at figure 2, thence with a line of No. 3 S89.50W 138 poles to a stone corner lot No 3 in Rebecca A. McGinnis, thence S1/2E 18-56/100 poles to the beginning, containing sixteen acres and its appurtenances, and also two-sevenths of the widow's dower, which is still undivided, and is the interest of said Phillips & wife, and also the interest of W. D. McGinnis, which said Phillips purchased of said McGinnis in the said dower of Rachael McGinnis, the said widow of William McGinnis, deceased, and the said James M. Phillips & Lucinda T. Phillips his wife, will forever warrant and defend the above tract of land, except the lien hereby reserved, and the said interest in the dower tract, subject to said dower interest, free from the claims of all persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof the said James M. Phillips & Lucinda T. Phillips his wife, have hereunto subscribed their names this the 8th day of March, 1859. Lucinda T. Phillips J. M.
