B.M. Powell, 64, died at Corydon this morning of heart trouble. He
is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. W.A. Posey of
Corydon.  He is also survived by one brother, Thomas Powell of
Scott City, MO, and four sisters, Mrs. C.R. Buckman and Mrs. Jessie
Powell of Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Frank Burr of Denver, Colo.; and Mrs.
Virginus Royster of Corydon.  The funeral will take place tomorrow.
Mr. Powell was in business in Corydon for 29 years and was at the
head of the Corydon Drug Store company.  He was also president of
the Corydon Deposit bank for 24 years.  He served Corydon on the
school board and also in the town council.
