Breckinridge County Herald-News, Friday, September  8, 1961 OBITUARY
     Jesse L. POWELL, age 56, died Tuesday, August 29, 1961 at his home in Custer, Ky (Breckinridge 
County).  He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Vannie POWELL
one son:
Veachel POWELL
one daughter:
Helen DUPIN
(no residence given for his children)
     Funeral Services were held on Thursday, August 31, 1961 from the Custer Methodist Church, in which 
he was a member, with the Dowell Funeral Home of Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.  Burial was 
in the Gray Cemetery at Dyer, Ky.

Additional Comments:
I did not find a tombstone for Jesse POWELL in the Breckinridge County Cemeteries, volume one, 
published in 1991.
The Gray Cemetery #1 at Dyer, Ky is located on Highway 86, 1/2 mile behind J. 
W. HAYNES'S house.
