Bro. James Robert Gene Preston, age 76 of Cloverport, KY died Sunday, 1-13-2008 at Medco Center in Hardinsburg, KY. He was born in Louisville, KY on 10-21- 1931, the son of the late James William Preston and Nancy Ada Hoffard. Bro. 
Jimmy was a member of the American Christian Counselors Association as well as the Arizona Baptist Conference and Kentucky Baptist Conference. He was fascinated with trains and boats.
 
He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Bruner Preston of Cloverport,KY who he married 9-6-1952.
5 children: James David Preston - San Diego,CA Melody Sue (Jeff) Barbour of Florence,KY Sanuel Robert Preston of Phoenix,AZ Nancy Dianne (Kevin) Fulkman of Columbus,OH Raymond Keith (Diana) Preston of Phoenix,AZ
12 grandchildren: Raymond, Daniel, David, Kyle, Phillip, Megan and Lauren Preston Rhett & Katelyn Barbour Brian Ratliff Michelle Greis Rachel Fulkman
1 great granddaughter: Miah Ratliff
 
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 1-17, 2008 at 11 AM at Community Praise and Worship with Bro. Danny Board officiating. Burial will be in the New Clover Creek Cemetery. Visitation at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM and after 8:30 AM Thursday.
