Additional Comments:
Henry Garrett Prewitt was from Whitley County, Kentucky, but had moved to 
Harlan County, Kentucky, to work in the coal mines.  His death came when slate 
fell on him in a mine accident and his skull was fractured and his body 
crushed.
Henry was married to Nannie Leach, daughter of Sneed and Jane Pope Leach, of 
Pleasant View, Whitley County, Kentucky.
He was a veteran and served in CO E 50TH INF.
