OBIT: Charles Eithel Priddy, 1993 - born Hardin Co

Priddy - Charles Eithel Priddy of East Oolitic died Monday, December 15,
1997, at his residence.  Born in Hardin County, KY, on October 14, 1914, he 
was the son of Thomas and Mae (Gastineau) Priddy.  He married Thelma Garland 
on May 23, 1936, and she died July 3, 1993.

Surviving are three sons:  Tom Priddy, Jerry Priddy, and Kirby Priddy, all of
Bedford; one daughter, Sherri Scott of Bedford; two brothers: Garland Priddy 
of Owensburg, and Merlynn Priddy of Florida;  ten grandchildren; and thirteen
great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife and ten brothers 
and sisters.

He was a farmer and retired from General Motors Powertrain in Bedford. He was
a member of U.A.W. Local 440 and attended Oolitic Baptist and East Oolitic
Baptist Church.

Services for Charles Priddy will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 18th, at
The Day & Carter Mortuary.  Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Friends 
may call from 2-8 pm Wednesday, December 17th, at The Day & Carter Mortuary.
