From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 9 May 2003 HARRODSBURG -- Services for John Lee Pulliam Jr., 43, of Harrodsburg will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Buddy Turpin and James Byrd. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. He died Wednesday at Central Baptist Hospital. Born Oct. 6, 1959, in Mercer County, he was the son of Dorothy Norvell Pulliam of Mercer County and the late John Lee Pulliam. He was a former minister with Community Church of God and owner of Pulliam's Ornamental Iron. Other survivors include his wife, Nelva O. Jean Holland; a son, John Paul Cody Pulliam of Mercer County; two daughters, Sara Mae Pulliam and Bridgett G. Pulliam, both of Mercer County; a grandmother, Mary L. McCrystal of Mercer County; and a sister, Janice P. Booth of Danville. Pallbearers will be Christopher, Matthew and Garl Booth, Joey Turpin, Marty Pulliam and David Norvell.
