Trent-Dowell Funeral Home Obituary Listings Betty Arkell Ramsey, age 73 of Custer,KY died Sunday, June 9, 2008 at her residence. She was born in Breckinridge County, KY on 10-14-1934, the daughter of the late Virgil and Verna Pile Carman. She was a homemaker, who loved to cook, play Rook, listen to the radio. She was a very funny person who enjoyed being with friends.


She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Pauline Alexander and Virginia Triplett and 1 brother: Edsel Carman


She is survived by her husband - William R. Ramsey of Custer,KY
3 children: Rhonda Davis and Sandy Harper of Custer,KY
Barry Ramsey of Guston,KY
1 stepson: Paul Douglas Ramsey and his family of Hardin Co.,KY
3 grandchildren: Beth Murphy, Joy Lynn Ramsey, Scott Harper
2 great grandchildren: Hannah Grace and Hugh Jackson Murphy
2 brothers: Robert Carman of Louisville,KY and Donald Carman of Brandenburg,KY
many nieces and nephews


Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 1PM at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Blair officiating. Burial will be in the Custer 
Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:30 - 8:00PM and after 
8:30AM Thursday. Memorial contributions are requested to: Crusade for Children
