"The friends of Mr. Dudley Read will be sorry to learn of the heavy affliction he last week sustained, in the death of his little child - a girl - who died on last Friday night. The hand of death has been laid with perculairly distressing persistency upon the little ones of our town households the wail of the stricken has gone up. In this, the hour of their darkest grief, the parents should take comfort from the thought that their child has been transplanted from the sinful scenes of earth to the immortal and pure delights of heaven.
