Name: Irby Lee Redford [photo] Residence: Glasgow KY Died: Friday afternoon, 11 Feb 1977, automobile accident that occurred south of Tompkinsville near Akersville on Highway 87, 3:15 p.m. According to reports, a gasoline truck driven by Redford left the road on a steep hill and curve, overturned and exploded. The truck was engulfed in flames when officials and foremen arrived on the scene and fire had also spread to the field and trees officials said. The Gamaliel Fire Department fought the blaze for nearly two hours. Monroe County Coroner Billy Polston ruled that Redford was urned to death as the result of an accident.Redford, 51, a resident of 112 Wingage, was an employee of Exxon Oil Company in Glasgow.
