Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 9 Dec 1875.
"Died at his son-in-law's, Mr. Peter G. Leach's, at Rowlett's Station, in Hart 
county, Mr. William Renfro, after a short illness of some day or more.

"Uncle Billy was quite old -- some eighty years of age -- and will leave behind 
many relatives and acquaintances to mourn and regret his death. He is widely 
known throughout this county as an old school teacher under the old 
dispensation, having folowed the business all of his life, and when a young man 
he used to travel extensively over the country teaching school; especially 
grammar school. Many of our middle aged and even old men around, have received 
a greater portion of their education from him."
