Daughter of: Marcellus "Cricket" and Maggie Matthews Carver, decd.
Widow of: W N "Pete" Riggs
A descendant of the original Scottish settlers of Bartren Co and a lifetime resident of the area which was 
once known as Hammersville. Member Tracy United Methodist Church, graduate of the Bowling Green 
Business College. Farmer, former bookkeeper for Lessenberry Building Center and several area tobacco 
warehouses.
Survivors:
Sister: Bernice McQuown, Glasgow
Nieces: Edna Carver Wilhite of Calhoun, Patti McQuown of Glasgow, Peggy McQuown of Burbank, CA 
and Linda Brown of WV.
Nephews: Leon and Vincent Carver, both of Louisville, KY
Great-niece: Dr. Trudy Brown
Great-nephew: Fred Carver Wilhite
Several great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 am Saturday, 7 April 2001, A F Crow and Son Funeral Home, burial Glasgow Municipal 
Cemetery.
