Subject: Rose.Robert.1865.Marshall.WILL Robert Rose November 21 1865 Marshall County KyArchives Will Source: Will Book 2, Page 158 Written: November 21 1865 Recorded: May 7 1896 WILL Of Robert Rose, deceased I, Robert Rose of the County of Marshall and State of Kentucky, being of sound mind and disposing memory, calling to mind the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, and being desirous of disposing of such worldly effects as it has pleased God to bless me with, I make this my last will and testament in manner and form following. 1st, After my death, I desire all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid. 2nd, I desire that after the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses, I desire that my wife Polly Rose, have all my perishable property of every description; also my farm and its appertenances, during her lifetime, and after her death, I desire that my son James K.P. Rose have my land and home, and further desire that my son James K.P. Rose, live upon and enjoy, together with my wife, the land and its appertenances during the lifetime of his mother. Then, I desire that he have full possession of the land its appertenances. 3rd, I desire that my five children, Henry W., Susan York, Edna York, Pietta York, James K.P. Rose, have out of my estate, each two hundred and fifty dollars, my daughter, Faithey Thweatt, having been herefore provided with that amount. Then, if there should be anything more left, I desire that it be equally divided between my children. In testimony whereof, I hereunto set my name and seal, this 21st day of November 1865. Test: W.
