Evelyn Royalty, 87, Hardinsburg, died Nov. 7, 2008, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg. She was born Aug. 13, 1921, the daughter of the late John and Carrier Leigh Drane.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Royalty; a daughter, Geraldine Hayes; a sister, Anna Mildred Henning; three brothers, Kenneth, Randolph and Irvin Drane; and two grandchildren, Deanna Douglas and Joni Lyn Bandy.

Mrs. Royalty is survived by two daughters, Katherine Goodman, Hardinsburg, and Lois Whitworth, Harned; a sister, Louise Drake; four grandchildren, Karen
(Bobby) Dowell, Sherrie Brown, Toni Bandy (Mark) Borders and Brad Whitworth; three great-grandchildren, Allison Dowell (David) Hall, Stephanie Renfro (Tim) Sprigler and Alan Hancock; and three great-great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nolan and Colton Hall.

Funeral services were held Nov. 10 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington. Burial was in Custer Cemetery.
