RICHARD D. SAYLOR
 
    Richard D. Saylor, 76, of Pineville, died on Saturday, May 24, 2003 at the 
Pineville Community Hospital.  He was born at Red Bird on February 27, 1927 a 
son of the late Charlie and Ida Rose Knuckles Saylor.  He was a Baptist, a 
Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Masonic Order.
    He had retired from the United States Army after 25 years of service and 
was a retired Ford Motor Company, Michigan.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Helen Saylor and 
brothers, Clyde, Oliver, Charles and J.B. Saylor.
    Survivors include his wife Greta Jo Morris Saylor, children, Wanda and 
Fred Foister, Richard Saylor Jr., Ronnie and Gerry Saylor, Glenda and Mack 
Mitchum and Candice Britt Fornatoro; grandchildren, Cerina Foister, Brandy 
Carnes, Lisa Marie Colwell, Rachel Ann Bradshaw, Regina Silvers, April Saylor 
and Conor Britt; great-grandchildren, Hannah and Mackinsie Napier, Cody, 
Brittney and Austin Carnes, Cameron and Colin Colwell and Bailey Bradshaw; 
brother, Arnold J. Saylor; sisters, Dorothy Brock and Elsie Schaffer; very 
special friend Luther Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
    Services were Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Bill 
Poore.  Burial was in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville.  Military 
honors were presented by Fort Campbell.  Pallbearers were Lige Cox, Eugene 
Collett, Bruce Bennett, Marcus Moe, Pail Colwell, Richard E. Collett and Matt 
Silvers.  Honorary pallbearer was Luther Taylor.    Arnett & Steele Funeral 
Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the Saylor Family.
