PERRYVILLE -- Lilly Cook Shannon, 60, of Danville died Thursday at 
Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born June 18, 1942, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late 
Clint and Ethel Crow Cook. She was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel 
Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Paul S. Shannon; a daughter, Darlene 
Alsman of Mitchellsburg; two sons, Joe and Paul Thomas Shannon, both 
of Danville; a stepdaughter, Maggie Shannon of Junction City; five 
sisters, Frances Hafley of Indiana, Katherine Girtley, Marie Mills 
and Louise Rourk, all of Frankfort, and Shirley Griggs of Harrodsburg; 
three brothers, Lester and Clarence Cook, both of Frankfort, and Frank 
Cook of Indiana; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She 
was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilder Funeral Home. Burial will be 
in Elder Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday.
