Robertson two subscribing witnesses thereto, and was ordered to record, whereupon the same with this certificate is duly admitted to record. Att. Morris Eskridge, D.C. Submitted by: Tanya Curtis aunttata@netzero.net Additional Comments: The will generally lacks punctuation. For clarity, I have added (i) periods at what appear to be the ends of sentences, and (ii) commas to separate the names of Jesse's children. Jesse M. Shaw was born 14 July 1799, possibly in Ohio Territory (although we have no conclusive proof of his place of birth). On 1 September 1825, he married Catharine or Katharine ("Kittie") Ringer in Crawford County, Indiana. The couple migrated to Breckinridge County, Kentucky by 1840. Jesse M. Shaw died on 15 January 1863, likely in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, and is buried in the Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Lodiburg, Breckinridge County, Kentucky. Children include Nancy Jane Shaw m. John Riddle; Sarah ("Sallie") Shaw m. (1) Coonrod Claycomb, (2) Robert Rollins, (3) Jeremiah Norton, Jr.; William Rafe (or Ralph) Shaw m. (1) Cassandra Hardin Basham, (2) Matilda A. Compton; Martha Ann Shaw m. Andrew Jackson Keys, Sr.; Missouri Shaw m. Daniel Hardin Basham; Elizabeth Ann Doniga Shaw; and John R. Shaw m. Lavina Gibson.
