From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 22 Apr 2003 Vincenza Ann "Zina" Modica Shearer, 86, of Boone Trail died Monday at her home. Born Aug. 18, 1916, in Lexington, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Amato Modica. She was a bookkeeper for Danville Office Equipment, the widow of Jesse C. Shearer Jr., and a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Garden Club of Danville, Ephraim McDowell Hospital Auxiliary, and Wilderness Trail Homemakers Club. Survivors include a son, Leonard Shearer of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, John Modica of Fort Thomas; and two grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Lynch, Ted Baker, Ving Walter, Brian Baker, Elmer Jackson, Tony Modica and Chris S. Jackson.
