Funeral services for Mary Melba Shepherd were held October 1 at James and Gahr with John Smith officiating.

Music was provided by taped selections.

Interment was in North Lawn.

Pallbearers were Craig Flowers, William L.K. Flowers, Jonathon Parks, Ronald Parks, Jack Ball and Jason Phillips.

Mrs. Shepherd was born July 30, 1924 in Burkesville, Kentucky to John and Vinnie (Garner) Flowers.  She married Everett Shepherd January 21, 1967. She was the mother of seven children.  Mrs. Shepherd died September 27, 
2003 at the age of 79 years, one month and 28 days.

Survivors include her husband Everett, Lonedell; seven children William Flowers and wife Mary of Farmington; Jack Sell of Cahokia, Illinois; Cathy 
Ball and husband Willie of Desoto; Lisa Law of Belleview Illinois; Zelda Ball of Piedmont; Steven Beckett of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; Ernie Lee 
Shepherd of Lake Ozark; brothers Welby Flowers and wife Marge of New 
Castle, Indiana; two half-brothers Willie Sells and wife Joyce of 
Burkesville, Kentucky; Weldon Sells of Albany, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephwes.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Melvin Shepherd and one grandson, Timothy Lawrence.
