OBIT: Ogden O. Shipp, 1994, Taylor Co. Submitted by Debbie Dicken Ogden O. Shipp, 83, of Shawnee Drive, Campbellsville, son of the late Alison Shipp and Margaret Elizabeth Fawcett Shipp, was born in Taylor County, Sept. 25, 1910 and died at 3:55 p.m., Monday, January 31, 1994 in Campbellsville after an illness. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a farmer, former owner and operator of Shipp's Seed House and was manager of the Taylor County Airport for some twenty years before his retirement in 1977. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jimmie Shipp on May 5, 1965. Shipp is survived by his wife, Ellen Sallee Shipp of Campbellsville; one son and one daughter, Louis Shipp and Brenda Wilkerson, both of Campbellsville; one step-son, Billy Fisher of Columbus, Ind.; two granddaughters and five grandsons, Debbie Bailey of Lexington, Andrea Wilkerson and Jarrod Wilkerson, both of Campbellsville, the Rev. J.D. Shipp of Union City, Tenn., Terry Shipp and Jerry Shipp, both of Elizabethtown and David Shipp of Lo! uisville; two step-granddaughters and one step-grandson, Mendy Fisher of Louisville and Mary Noblitt and Mark Fisher, both of Columbus, Ind.; two great-granddaughters and four great-grandsons, Dusty Bailey of Lexington, Laura Shipp and Aaron Shipp, both of Union City, Tenn., Ashley Shipp and Jason Shipp, both of Elizabethtown, and Zachary Shipp of Louisville; one step-great-grandson, Michael Fisher of Columbus, Ind.; and two sisters, Virginia Smith of Campbellsville and Jean Dyer of Laurel, Md. Funeral was at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 2, at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by the Revs. J.D. Shipp, Gene Weddle, and Jim Cavender. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Gabehart, David L. Henderson, Bill Maupin, Wilson Smith, Jesse Johnson, Johnny Harris, Martin Miller, Allen Burress, Ed McGuire, Ronnie Morrison, Parker Minor, Jim Bailey, Clyde Myers, Chuck Childers, James Lawerence Noe and Mike Hall.
