Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 11 Mar 1896
"Asalom Shobe, son of Mr. John Shobe, died at the home of his father, in 
Clinton, Mo., on January 23rd, of peritonitis. John Shobe is well-know here, 
where he formerly lived and married Miss Henrietta Wooten, a sister of J. T. 
Wooten, of this place."
